About Clerc Computer Consulting
We are a Houston-based company, and have been in business since 1997.

Donald

Donald Clerc has always enjoyed helping people with their technology, whether it was repairing bicycles, programming a VCR, or showing them how to use a new camera. As an adult, he had been helping people with their computers in retail and corporate jobs for 16 years, when back in the mid-1990’s his next-door neighbor said that the small business where he worked could use his help. It took him two long years to convince his boss to talk with Donald. He evaluated their current setup and created his presentation using overhead transparencies and a color printer. Well, he got the job and started helping them on nights and weekends, still keeping his corporate job.

He found that helping these people was much more enjoyable than working in his corporate job. In a large corporation, the IT personnel were considered an expense and management was always trying to get fewer employees to support more and more computer users. This arrangement resulted in poor customer service and the feeling that “it’s always the computer guy’s fault” when something went wrong. In this small business, the employees were happy to see him and appreciated the work I did to make their jobs easier. Their management was happy to pay him when they saw the results of his work. So when the Houston office of the company he was working at shut down and everyone was laid off, he decided to create his own company to help small businesses and home computer users.

That was over 15 years ago, and ever since he has enjoyed helping people with their computers and related technology in small businesses, home businesses, and home computer users.

Donald and Glenda have three beautiful children aged 27 to 20, and one new grand-daughter.
